2017
Our beginning
Alt-Energi Ltd began in Worcestershire with a single biomass boiler under the Renewable Heat Incentive. Founders Phil Mole and Will George set out to build practical energy solutions that delivered real value.
2018
A shift toward solar
As government incentives evolved and electricity costs rose, solar PV emerged as a smart solution—particularly for agriculture. Early solar installs combined PV with heat pumps, boosting efficiency and financial returns. On 7th March 2019, Alt-Solar Ltd was incorporated, formalising solar as a core focus.
2021
Laying foundations
Growth brought new opportunities. Alt moved into its Worcester headquarters, creating space to expand capability, build teams and take on more complex projects.
2022
Growth and specialism
As demand increased, Alt-Group UK Holdings Ltd was formed to bring our businesses together. Solar Mounting Ltd launched to design and manufacture ground-mount systems, giving us greater control over performance and delivery. Regional offices followed to support our growing footprint.
2023
Strengthening our foundations
Teams expanded. Leadership evolved. In-house design capability grew. Operations and Maintenance strengthened to support projects long after install. Every step taken to deliver better outcomes for our clients.

In September 2025, all divisions come together under a single Alt-Group brand. One team. One direction.
