Established in the early 2000s, this leading food manufacturer brings authentic bakery products to the UK market, supplying supermarkets and foodservice customers nationwide. Its flagship UK facility features state-of-the-art production lines, reinforcing the company’s reputation for quality, innovation and premium baked goods.
The Objective
Sustainability is central to the organisation’s wider societal engagement strategy, with firm commitments to reducing environmental impact across its operations. At this facility, insurance constraints prevented rooftop solar deployment, necessitating an alternative solution that would deliver against these objectives while ensuring operational continuity and full regulatory compliance.
The Solution
Alt-Group delivered a bespoke solar carport system, utilising the site’s large car park to unlock underused space for clean energy generation. Purpose-built double gullwing canopy structures were installed, mounting solar panels in portrait orientation to maximise output and efficiency. In addition the carport provides sheltered parking, enhanced lighting, improving the experience for employees and visitors in all weather conditions.
